Rental Policy


A deposit of no less than $500 is required for any rental. A higher deposit may be required depending on the quantity and/or value of the equipment to be rented and rental history. A major credit card or cash must be used for the deposit. ATM, debit, check cards, and reloadable debit cards are not accepted for deposits. A valid form of ID, driver license, passport, or military ID is required for rental. No exceptions will be made.

Rental Charges

All rental prices are (Per Day). One day rental is a pickup during normal Business Hours and being returned the following day by 5:00pm. Rentals not returned by return date will be charged daily rental rate until equipment is returned. Rental prices are subject to change without notice. Weekly rentals are available. Rental Pick-Up

All rental equipment is checked by our staff to insure proper working condition. San Jose Camera & Video must be notified immediately in the case of equipment failure or difficulties. Failure to notify us may result in a full rental charge. The renter is responsible for the proper care and operation of the equipment.


Renters accept full liability for any damaged or lost equipment. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the renter. In the event of equipment damage the renter is responsible for repair cost(s) or the new replacement cost(s) of rented equipment. In the event a repair is needed the renter will be charged the daily rental fee until the equipment is returned. San Jose Camera & Video offers rental insurance at a rate of 1.5% of new equipment cost.
