Information about our store policies

Return/Exchange Policy

San Jose Camera & Video offers a 30-day return/exchange policy. Merchandise must be returned in new, unused condition with all original factory packaging, instruction books, literature, documentation, and blank warranty cards. Sales receipt must accompany all requests for returns, exchanges & manufacturer's warranty service. Returns will not be accepted without a sales receipt. Online orders require prior authorization. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

 

If any of the above conditions are not met, San Jose Camera & Video reserves the right to refuse a return/exchange or to charge a restocking fee no less than but not limited to 15% of the original purchase price.

 

San Jose Camera & Video will not accept returns or exchanges on film, paper, lamps, batteries, books, ink cartridges, memory cards, or any other consumable products.

 

If your purchase included a mail-in rebate: Manufacturers require UPC barcodes to be cut off from packaging and warranty cards to be filled out in order to redeem your rebate. Before this is done, please check the equipment to be sure it is the product you want and is functioning properly. Once UPC barcodes are removed from boxes or warranty cards filled out the product may no longer be returned or exchanged.

 

If a discount or promotion was offered with your purchase; the discount or promotion value may be deducted from your return value in conjunction with any applicable restocking fee.


Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit cards. Personal checks are no longer accepted. All orders shipped within California are subject to sales tax. Orders shipped outside of California are not taxed.

Upon Receipt of Your Online Order

Please inspect your order, checking both the condition and contents. Any claims for damaged or missing product must be reported within 2 business days of receiving the merchandise to San Jose Camera & Video. In the event your shipment is damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to contact the carrier. Inspect any and all packages before signing for the delivery.


Warranties

All products sold by San Jose Camera & Video are sold with manufacturers full USA warranties (no grey market). Should you experience a problem with anything you purchase from us, please call for assistance.


Special Orders

Special orders on non-regular stock items must be paid in full. Cancellation of any special order must be done within seven days to avoid any fees. Cancellation of any special order after seven days is subject to no less than but not limited to a 25% cancellation fee. Special orders of non-regular stock items are not returnable. All special orders must be done in-store.
